Active with the TGDP: Around 2002-2003
BS in Mathematics (UT Austin), BA in German Language and Literatures (UT Austin)
When Jarrod was with the TGDP, he was mostly interested in the theoretical side of math, including such topics as algebraic number theory and topology, and tended to shy away from applied math. His hobbies include playing guitar and biking around Town Lake as much as possible. Jarrod became interested in learning more about Texas German and German communities in Texas after traveling a bit in the spring of 2002 through eastern Europe and visiting the old German colonies of Siebenburgen in what is now Romania. He has been working at National Instruments since 2005, most recently as a Systems R&D Director.
