Active with the TGDP: Around 2005-2006
BA in Linguistics and BS in Biochemistry (UT Austin)
After Jim graduated from UT Austin in 2006 (his honors thesis was titled “Some Developments in the Texas German Case System”), he joined the Peace Corps and served in the lovely Republic of Benin as an English teacher at first, and later as a regional supervisor. He later returned to UT to study biochemistry. He has also worked part-time as a software engineer in downtown Austin, customizing business software.
As of 2022, Jim is perusing a Biochemistry PhD at UT Austin and is a PhD Candidate in the Finkelstein Lab.
