Active with the TGDP: Summer 2022
Clara is a rising Junior at Colorado College studying Russian, anthropology, and music. Her other interests include choir, rugby, and craft beer. Originally from San Jose, CA, Clara has been coming to the hill country every summer since she was 2 to visit family in Wimberley, TX. It was during her hill country summers when she first heard the Texas German dialect and many stories from her grandfather about classmates who spoke it when he was growing up in San Marcos. Although Clara is committed to studying Russian for her undergraduate degree, her true passion is socio-cultural and linguistic anthropology and can see herself staying within the realm of research in the future, which is why working with the TGDP has been an incredible introduction into the field.
